The Test Engineering team analyzes, develops, designs, and maintains test tools to validate product and system performance. Test Engineering performs tests and analyzes results through diagnostic programs. Works with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to resolve issues detected through testing. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. The Manager will determine and develop approaches to solutions.


  • Oversee the architecture, design and supporting development and testing of test solutions to several highly-complex technical projects
  • Creates system specifications for the projects. Leads technology roadmap process. Recommends project approach and goals
  • Champions new thinking and creativity in team members to cultivate and retain top talent
  • Coaches others on how to effectively develop, communicate, and implement new solutions
  • Prioritizes quality and seeks out improvements in all aspects of the projects
  • Maintains keen awareness of competitor products and development direction to help direct designs to surpass the competition
  • Uses status as a developer of novel and creative solutions to build business and bring positive attention to technologies and services
  • With other engineering disciplines, develops next generation ideas and solutions to meet client needs before the competition
  • Analyzes competitor intellectual property and participates in activities related to protecting intellectual property
  • Directs and controls the activities of a department /team in a functional discipline within a product group, division, sub-region or country
  • Contributes to the development of policy innovation and integrated business solutions. Manages programs and/or product development initiatives
  • Develops and establishes operational policies within area managed, and delegates assignments. Accountable for and contributes toward profitability and/or cost containment by indirectly impacting the P&L through Account, Product Line, Research and Development, Operations or functional management
  • Develops and implements programs/solutions to improve processes, reduce costs and cycle time, and improve customer service
  • Internally recognized leader who exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Significant knowledge in function, product, technology service, strategy, and business complexities in order to contribute to the development of creative solutions in area of expertise


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline preferred
  • Bachelor's +8 years of experience
  • Master's +6 years of experience
