Zebra is looking for an individual to join our NPI Engineering and Technical Operations team as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This team works closely with the Zebra Supply Chain teams and its suppliers to successfully integrate new products into the EMS/JDM factories. They work closely with the product development engineers to improve DFx (Design for Assembly/Manufacturing), Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing (LSS), and drive Industry 4.0 technologies, such as process and product Digital Twin\Simulation, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to ensure high quality and high yield production in the factory.


  • Zebra is seeking individuals that share in our goal of driving innovation in everything we do. 

    • Candidate will be self motivated and have the ability to access and plan his/her schedule according to business priorities.
    • Participate in design reviews and prototype builds to assess and provide DFx input, track actions, and escalate issues as necessary.
    • Responsible for adherence to program plan and budgets for all projects.
    • Recommends corrective actions and implements changes. Identifies and mitigates risks; develops and implements risk mitigation plans.  
    • May manage challenging vendor relationships. Responsible for direct communication to relevant senior stakeholders.
    • Drive the Zebra Lean Six Sigma approach with our JDM and EMS partners in region. Make sure every new product has full Lean Six Sigma built in and meets Zebra Lean Six Sigma targets at release.
    • Well versed in the current landscape of Digital Twin and Digital Simulation.
    • Have knowledge of commercially available simulation tools, and industry trends.
    • Demonstrated use of Digital Twin\Simulation tools.
    • Responsibilities include researching Digital Twin\Simulation, assessing capability, identifying technology gaps, leading cross-functional teams in the implementation\application of Digital Twin\Simulation software.


  • US Only:
    • Bachelors degree and 4+ year experience or Masters degree and 2+ year experience
  • All other Regions:
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 6+ years work experience
    • Advanced level of understanding of the manufacturing engineering discipline
    • Advanced level of knowledge of manufacturing engineering equipment
    • Strong understanding of sustainable design practices
