Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the Engineering Product Support team (L2) to provide technical support for analytical software product.
  • Provides application/technology expertise and assists in defining and estimating project/activity scope.
  • Provide technical solution to complex architectural and data problems.
  • Shares responsibility (with the Manager, Technical Architect, etc.) for coordinating and monitoring all aspects of the Product across multiple technology platforms and disciplines.
  • Provides technical support and mentoring to project team members.
  • Keeps management team apprised of work progress and is proactive in communicating any concerns or opportunities for better project delivery.
  • Accountable for providing leadership and accountability in various situations.
  • Required to keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the web / java related technologies
  • Provide solution, Participating and contributing to root cause analysis.
  • Responsible for leading the support team and reviewing critical work.
  • Resolve performance issues.
  • Resolve production issues, do necessary R&D.
  • Managing Applications running on Hosted Production Environment. Maintain
  • Hosting Environment SLA’s.
  • End to End handling of escalated issues.
  • Keeps management team apprised of work progress and is proactive in communicating any concerns or opportunities for better customer support.
  • Accountable for providing leadership and accountability in various situations

 

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an IT-related discipline, or the equivalent of education from BITS / IIT’s / NIT’s/Reputed colleges.
  • Total of 6+ years of experience in software support, with total industry experience of 8+ years.
  • Good Experience in Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlet, JavaScript, Shell script.
  • SQL scripting.
  • Database Knowledge (Basic Admin): My SQL, Oracle 10g/11g, DB2.
  • Operating System Administration: Windows 2000/2003 Server, RHEL, AIX
  • Web Servers: IIS, Apache, IHS.
  • Application Server: JBoss, Tomcat, Weblogic, IBM WebSphere
  • Knowledge of Virtual Technologies, VM Ware
  • Hands on experience on Handling Hosting Production Environment, International

       Customers, communications.

  • Strong Troubleshooting, Problem resolution skills.
  • Customer Focus, dedicated to Customer success.
  • Production Support, JDBC, JNDI
  • Strong desire for ownership of customer support.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Should have minimum 2 years of experience of leading a team or module (at least 4-5 member team)
  • Experience of shell script programming is a plus.
