Manage software engineering resources including skill & talent development as well as managing product development. Designs, develops & maintains overall system architecture and technical practices for all components of the reporting & analytics solutions of Zebra/Reflexis product suite. Ensures the integrity of the architecture/design and technical aptitude of the team. Is passionate about crafting end user experiences that will provide user delight and allow users to identify trends & extract actionable insights from large amounts of information using sophisticated science and scalable engineering.


  • Architects and designs highly complex and scalable software projects for data, reporting, dashboarding or analytics products. Completes all phases of the projects. Follows through on all in-process and final inspection activities.
  • Engineering management of software resources available to product development software projects including in assist in building the skill set of resources
  • Helps to develop and establish operational policies within area managed and provides overall management of the development engineers.
  • Lead and inspire a team of analytics engineers to create innovative solutions.
  • Drives code review of projects. Develops and applies technical and quality improvements.
  • Influences and designs infrastructure, application architecture, database schemas, development standards and best practices for automating CI/CD pipelines.
  • Frequently interact with other Zebra technology product management, engineering & infrastructure teams to provide best of breed solutions.
  • Work on development and implementation of programs/solutions to improve processes, reduce costs and cycle time, and improve customer success.
  • Ensure optimal performance of systems and solutions designed either by appropriate system configuration or code optimization of system components or both
  • Exercises judgment (within broadly defined policies and practices) in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Defines requirements for and may design complex new tools to aid in the analysis and solving of complex problems.



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or any other Engineering / related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent practical experience
  • Preferred Work Experience (years): Minimum of 8+ years of work experience

  • Strong Structured Query Language (SQL) fundamentals
  • 5+ years of Java / J2EE development experience
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS & Javascript
  • Experience working with Spring framework & REST APIs

Preferred Requirements:

  • Angular development experience
  • Prior Experience using / integrating with any business intelligence software product like IBM Cognos, Microstrategy, Looker BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Hands-on experience working with Hibernate
  • Good understanding of GCP (Google Cloud) or experience with any other public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure
  • Exposure to Google BigQuery or any other cloud data warehouse
  • Prior Experience with Redis
  • Good knowledge and/or experience with Python
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Prior experience in an enterprise software product development organization
  • Use creativity to solve big-picture problems while remaining detail-oriented to solve the smaller ones
