As a Senior Manager of Artificial Intelligence (AI) you will lead a team of engineers & researchers in the software development, research, and management of AI Solutions on embedded devices to cloud solutions. You will be representing the CTO in APAC and driving innovation. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with CTO Engineering, Research and Biz Dev leads to translate requirements into actions
  • Represent CTO in APAC region to drive innovation
  • Drive short and long-term vision and portfolio of the CTO office in APAC
  • Lead experienced engineers & researchers as well as develop junior members from academia/industry to a successful career track
  • Leading and mentoring the team in AGILE framework
  • Responsible for the integrity of all work from the AI group
  • Responsible for growing the team by hiring the best talent available on the market
  • Champion new thinking and creativity in team members. Mentor others on how to effectively develop, communicate, and implement new solutions
  • Maintain a keen awareness of technology roadmap and competitor products and development direction to help direct designs to surpass the competition

Qualifications

  • Masters/PHD in Computer Engineering/Computer Science; alternatively, a comparable industry career, with significant experience in delivering products
  • 7+ years of engineering experience. 5+ years of managing engineering teams
  • Professional experience in software development (software design and development life cycle)
  • An internally recognized leader who exercises judgement within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Ability to distil informal customer requirements into problem definitions, taking care of ambiguity and competing objectives
  • Ability to manage and quantify the improvement in customer experience or value for the business resulting from research outcomes
  • Project management experience for working on multi-functional projects
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, ability to convey rigorous mathematical concepts and considerations to non-experts
