The Senior Commercial Finance Advisor will provide thought business partnering & decision support to senior business leader for SEA region. The successful candidate is responsible for all commercial finance management, financial planning and analysis, and business operations finance scope. Highly competent in working with large data sets across the business function, he/ she will be responsible for robust data analytics, working with GTM and cross functional teams, to provide insightful recommendations to drive business performance. The business covers multiple categories of business and operating segment, with highly collaborative matrix organization that collaborate with country teams, region and global multi-functional partners. Spanning Enterprise businesses in both channel and new business contractual domains, SEA business requires a high caliber commercial finance leader, with strong analytical skills, and business partnering skills who can lead change and drive growth in a challenging and dynamic market.


Provide commercial finance thought partnership, including clear and concise insights into drivers of business performance, market trends, risks and opportunities.

  • Partner with regional FP&A team to ensure that SEA P&L has a high standard of accounting integrity, robust reporting of SEA P&L and quality forecast.
  • Partner with country and regional business leaders to drive business results to achieve budget (target) revenue, margin, operating profit and market share, while maintaining healthy working capital and Channel inventory, and mitigate risk and financial exposure in supporting commercial deal activity and analysis.
  • Implement rigor in business reviews with relevant analytics, make timely course corrections in line with business performance and external trends. Effective communicator of key drivers of financial variances at the country, product, vertical, target customer segment and channel programs. To drive timely follow through business enhancing actions, and resolution of gaps while mitigating risks.
  • Identify opportunities for top-line growth and profit improvement through external analysis and benchmarking
  • Ensure key investments, resources (Contras, Marketing and Opex), and sales incentive plans are deployed to maximize ROI, for both the organic and disruptive growth segment of the business.
  • Participate in pricing reviews for product and program pricing proposals
  • Manages financial modeling for cost savings, sales productivity evaluation, competitive analyses, and customer and product profitability. Review and provide recommendation on contractual arrangement which are both short-term and long-term in nature. Ability to evaluate and operationalize business model choices.
  • Ability to evaluate the foreign currency management strategies and propose adjustments working with treasury tied to pricing and other business realities.
  • Strong understanding of revenue accounting principles to support revenue recognition.
  • To build strong relationship and purposeful collaboration with the regional commercial and business units, country business teams, and support functions (i.e. Marketing, Sales Operations, HR, Supply Chain) in order to drive the business and functional agenda.
  • Ensure appropriate controls & processes are in place while driving process simplification and improvement, meet all controls and audit related metrics, proactively develop a strong open and ethical culture.
  • Support ad hoc projects including customer and partner performance trends, and other corporate initiatives as required.


Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years proven finance experience including commercial finance and partnering with the business (contract negotiations, pricing, revenue recognition), with strong business acumen, operational insight, and P&L management in a matrixed global organization.
  • Bachelor/ master degree in finance/ accounting, or MBA.
  • Exceptional ability in understanding pricing, product mix, revenue, cost and profit drivers and strong financial analysis skills. Excellent excel modelling, data storytelling skills, and familiarity with business intelligence tools and processes.
  • Critical thinking, excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with management levels across functions, and solid credibility with business.
  • Agile in approach, can move seamlessly between short-term tactical and long-term strategic plans and activities.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and is able to develop multiple creative solutions to ensure the delivery of planned outcomes.
  • Highly adaptive, with curious mindset, comfortable to provide constructive viewpoint towards improved solutions, willingness to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, results and continuous improvement working environment, with a culture of innovative, agile and continuous learning.
  • US based company exposure, with channel and SaaS commercial financial experience is an absolute advantage.
