We are looking for a Manager of program manager who is responsible for the successful launch of Zebra’s Enterprise Mobile Computer (EMC).

The primary responsibility is to provide leadership to Zebra’s ODM/JDM partners in software & hardware development. The manager will contribute to JDM/ODM strategy by instituting Zebra’s software development process and be Zebra’s management focal point in the region. Responsibilities include identifying and implementing detailed process/operational improvement opportunities with the partner’s senior level development partners. Serve as a trusted advisor to the JDM/ODM’s management team. Groom the JDM/ODM to become an integral part of Zebra’s product development process, as Zebra’s competitive advantage to deliver high quality products to enterprise customers.

The manager also manage EMC’s projects from concept to release. The candidate will collaborate with global product development teams in multiple time zones for requirement prioritisation, project planning, program execution and status reporting, with the special focus on, but not limited to, JDM/ODM’s product development work scope. The job responsibility requires technical understanding of embedded systems with SW/HW integration, handheld mobile product development and managerial capability including developing project plan, driving engineering teams’ execution, risk & issue management, management problem solving and project status communication to both project teams and to senior management.

Align multiple parts of the organization (internal and external) to common objectives and clear processes.

Work collaboratively with JDM/ODM for continuous process improvement.

People management: Coach, mentor, empower and supervise team members

Ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.

Communicate at all levels of the organization.

Able to work with a wide range of experience levels of engineering.

Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques.

Ability to work with globally distributed teams, with different cultures and languages.

Good organizer and delegator with abilities to empower and motivate teams

Innovative and motivated person, able to lead teams to identify and resolve risks and issues. Takes ownership of actions and initiatives, but also escalates quickly and effectively when senior management support is required.



  • Self-Starter and strategic problem solver
  • Effective in a team environment
  • Prefer Master’s degree with technical background.
  • 12+ years program management experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience collaborating with senior management of external R&D partners to drive both supplier accountability and process improvement
  • Demonstrate passion for ownership. Be resourceful in management problem solving. Skillful in persuasion/negotiation to build trust and achieve results
  • Proven experience in critical thinking and management rigor to lead the program through initial ambiguity in the concept phase to the execution phase with a clear team structure and solid program plan
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations
  • People management experience.
  • Strong communication (written and oral) skills and collaborate effectively with proven interpersonal skills. Must be able to build and sustain relationship with development partners
  • Intermediate to sophisticated presentation skills. Demonstrated comfort in presenting to mid to senior level cross functional audiences.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team to solve difficult technical, quality, cost, and schedule challenges.
  • Experience with team building, collaboration, and managing resources - both domestically and international, inside and outside of Zebra.
  • Demonstrated working understanding of sophisticated concepts with program management approaches, tools and methodologies.
  • Strong English-speaking skills
