Java Fullstack Developer, Senior

Enterprise Mobile Computing (EMC) - designs and develops rugged and enterprise-grade mobile computing products in a variety of form factors and features for specific enterprise applications and solutions like Work Force Connect, Device Tracker etc.   This is an opportunity to join a growing team in a dynamic new business opportunity within Zebra. The team will be working on a “green field” enterprise application that implements key business processing logic for many different customers.

About you:

As a senior member of the team, You will be a key part of the design process and will be challenged to create and implement an architecture that is flexible enough to support multiple customers with varying needs and scalable enough to support thousands of installations.  As the key full stack developer, you will be asked to interpret the business requirements as provided by the product owner and translate those requirements into a design, an application and supporting DB schema

You will work very closely with engineering, product and services team to ensure that the EMC software solutions are integrated into various product and service offerings.

You are responsible for

• Work with business analyst to understand our customer’s business processing needs. 
• Design and develop node.js and angular based enterprise cloud applications to drive key business processes 
• Design a modular architecture that will support easy integration with new customers. 
• Work with the DevOps teams to ensure a smooth, automated test and deployment for the application. 
• Design and deploy DB schema for your application 

Additional responsibilities will be

• Ability to work closely with a team of 3-4 team members and lend expertise in all areas required.
• Influence product requirements & operational plans while working with product managers & other work partners during requirements and Planning cycles.

• Engineering degree in Computer Science/Electronics with 5-8 yrs. in SW development/substance.

• Strong Knowledge of JavaScript, NodeJS and Express framework
• Knowledge of JAVA and python will be an advantage
• Experience on designing and developing user interfaces using Angular or React JS frameworks
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Strong Knowledge of Database technology: BigQuery, Firestore, SQL, Mongo
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and deployment: GCP, AWS
• Experience in a hands-on development role- Developing applications for Google Cloud platform using services Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud PubSub, Cloud Firestore
• Experience with cloud-based architectures: SaaS, Micro-Services
• Experience with Open-Source Software development, licensing, and tools 
• Experience with CI/CD processes
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as a code) such as Terraform will be an advantage
• Experience with automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
