Overview

This position will be supporting to the design and development of enterprise-class mobile computing devices within the audio/acoustic engineering team.

Responsibilities

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Performing acoustic analysis of existing and proposed electro-mechanical systems and mechanical enclosures with the objective to design optimized acoustic structures
  • Working with ID, ME, EE, SW, and Manufacturing teams to create designs that will meet audio and product requirements.Helping product team make appropriate trade-offs where necessary
  • Performing quantitative evaluations of product designs to validate implementation meet established criteria for product acceptance.
  • Set gains and tuning values.
  • Engaging in advanced development activities to prepare innovations in product concepts and audio subsystem components.
  • Working with engineering teams and vendors to specify transducers (earpiece receivers, micro loudspeakers, and microphones) for product designs.
  • Writing technical specifications.
  • Leading and contributing to product design reviews.
  • Maintaining and enhancing acoustic lab capabilities.
  • Providing technical leadership for others within development teams.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 9+ years experience
