Overview

  • 8+ years’ experience as Server administrator with experience in Installation and Troubleshooting of Linux OS.
  • Experience in Storage, Virtualization, Backup, Nagios and Redhat IAM.
  • Hands on experience on VXRAIL and VMWARE.
  • Hands on experience on RHEL Linux, firewall installation and troubleshooting.
  • Hands on experience on Backup technology like Bareos and Data domain
  • Hands on experience on Storage technologies SAN and NAS.
  • Hands on experience on virtualization infrastructure technologies like VMWare.
  • Hands on experience on Nagios.
  • Hands on experience on Redhat Identity Management.
  • Hands on experience on JIRA.
  • Ability to lead the team.

Desired Profile:

  • Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments
  • Experience in designing and implement vSphere 6,7 ESX Clusters, HA, DRS, vSwitches, Distributed Switches
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios.
  • Experience with SAN technology, preferably EMC
  • Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources.
  • Monitor system performance to identify and correct performance issues.
  • Utilize UNIX scripting (BASH, PowerShell) and other scripting language to optimize and automate system administrator tasks.
  • Provide technical support for disaster recovery efforts (actual or simulated) to include disaster recovery documentation.
  • Manage all tickets (incident, problem, change, service requests, etc.)
  • Participate in the infrastructure automation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices and standards
  • Basic understanding of networks, switch ports, VLANs, subnets, and routing
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills

 

Responsibilities

 

  • 8+ years’ experience as Server administrator with experience in Installation and Troubleshooting of Linux OS.
  • Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  • Understanding of the overall IT systems, servers, network, programming environments and databases.
  • Lead, coordinate and participate in key process improvements as they relate to the cserver environment.
  • Lead the team.

Qualifications

Bachelors or master’s degree, preferably in an IT-related discipline, or the equivalent of education from BITS / IIT’s / REC’s
