• Provides application / technology expertise and assists in defining and estimating, project / activity scope.
• Shares responsibility(with the Project Manager, Technical Architect, etc.) for coordinating and supervising all aspects of the software development Lifecycle across multiple technology platforms and fields.
• Creates technical design documentation for software changes and development.
• Works with functional architecture and quality assurance teams to review documentation and support those roles within the development Lifecycle.
• Keeps management team informed of work progress and is proactive in communicating any concerns or opportunities for better project delivery.

• Bachelors or master’s degree, preferably in an IT-related field, or the equivalent of education from BITS / IITs / RECs.
• 3 - 6 years of proven experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience working with Cognos BI Suite and Framework Manager in a data warehouse environment, to include at least two years of extensive Cognos BI report development experience.
• Experience of Cognos Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio & Transformer/Dynamic cubes.
• Experience in the creation of complex data models using framework manager, complex reports and dashboard style solutions using Cognos 10 & 11 solutions.
• Advanced SQL writing and programming skills, with sound understanding and foundation of both relational and dimensional modeling techniques.
• Skills to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for acquiring results.
• Understanding on SDK and use of Javascript / HTML in reports.
• Experience with troubleshooting and SQL performance tuning is a plus
• Knowledge on installation/ configuration and Administration would be advantage.
• Experience integrating Cognos with other web portals would be beneficial.
