Industrial Designers (ID) partners with product development teams across all businesses from mobile computer, communications, and data capture solutions. The team includes the disciplines of industrial design, user interaction design, design research and human factors. Our team members work directly with development groups on product programs through the entire development process. The portfolio of solutions includes unique enterprise-focused mobile applications as well as web-based tools used for data aggregation and analytics or device deployment and management. The ID team also puts a strong focus on new innovation programs. It works with divisions on new technologies and new market opportunities. Given the team's unique position, they play a very strategic role within Zebra Technologies.

• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. Simultaneously work multiple projects, in support of other designers.
• Drive innovation and integration of new technologies and design language into projects and activities
• Work on all stages of industrial design development in a complex portfolio of products and platforms, including product architecture, design language, validation, and specifications.
• Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with industrial design and development guidelines and manufacturing standards.
• Understand overall product architecture strategy; recommend and implement changes to designs and technology as needed to improve products and form factors.

• Minimum 3~5 years of professional experience in a design consultancy or corporate design office.
• Great concept sketching and ideation skills; excellent sense of form and detail.
• Demonstrate strong problem solving ability.
• Excellent skills and ability to create concept and production 3D models in Alias or Pro E.
• Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills.
• Drive innovation and integration of new technologies and design language into projects and activities
