The Role:
Senior Manager of Trade Compliance (the “SMTC”) is a key player in the Zebra Global Trade Compliance Program, leading all trade issues in the APAC region. Located in Singapore, this senior manager coordinates trade compliance activities among the various Zebra business units and functions, including those operating in China, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan and India, and this position reports to the VP, Assistant General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer located in Lincolnshire, Illinois.
About You:
You are responsible for providing day-to-day counselling to Zebra managers, supervisors and employees on a full range of trade-related issues, developing practical solutions to trade issues and ensuring compliance with trade laws and regulations relevant to our business and proactively owns and assess trade related issues/risks in the region with effective management and robust controls for business.
You will also act with the highest level of integrity and ethical standards in all aspects of job performance.
As the leader of the APAC in-house trade team, you lead the development and implementation of the strategic trade model for APAC countries where Zebra is the IOR/EOR; establishes and defines Customs clearance capabilities for Zebra’s APAC business units; maintains an informed and encouraging relationship with regional and local trade authorities; and is responsible for managing and resolving all trade law issues within the APAC.
