  • Overview

    Project Managers own project launch, planning, control, and delivery against timeline and budget metrics for assignments within their area of responsibility.


    • Gathers input from the project team and works with more senior PM to develop a Project Plan for projects of limited scope – often repurposing old plans or working from examples. Uses established tools and templates to document the plan and communicates it to the team. Gathers feedback from the team and to revise and complete the Project Plan as needed
    • Gathers status updates from the project team and interprets inputs from the team to assemble a consolidated view of status. Provides regular status updates to internal stakeholders, the team and PM leadership as directed.
    • Provides assistance with coordination of deliverables and project assets to assist the project team. Personally addresses obstacles or issues that are minor in nature and escalates complex issues to senior team members for assistance
    • Demonstrates basic knowledge of PMI PMBOK and basic Project Management techniques and approaches including familitarity with vocabularly. Starting to use project management tools in basic applications including simple scheduling and staffing plans.
    • Responsible for planning & execution of initiatives / projects for Zebra Professional Services, with main focus in Japan
    • Engage and work with internal & external stakeholders on achieving target outcomes
    • Effective planning, control & management of projects to ensure projects meet the set metric (on schedule, on budget, customer satisfaction).
    • Coordinate and work with regional resources to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness of project planning & execution.
    • Responsible for regular project reporting and meeting including on-site meeting with customers or remote meeting with other stakeholders


    • Preferred Education:
      • Bachelor’s degree
    • Preferred Work Experience (years):
      • 2-5 years
    • Key Skills and Competencies:
      • Strong in interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills.
      • Can write / speak in both English & Japanese fluently
      • Strong organizational skills including multi-tasking and attention to details
      • Intermediate presentation skills. Demonstrated comfort in presenting to internal & external work team.
      • Demonstrated familiarity with project management approaches, tools and methodologies. PMP certification preferred or in progress
      • Knowledge/ experience in technology industry, preferably RFID related. 
      • Beginner to intermediate skills in PC based documentation tools including MS Office and MS Project
      • Beginner to intermediate skills in delegation and follow up
