  • Overview

    Work with device diagnostics team members locally and overseas to design and develop diagnostics system software and application for enterprise mobile devices. Test to discover issues and resolve them as they arise to ensure quality software delivery.  Performs troubleshooting, maintenance and testing on existing software. Follow established processes and directions. Perform integration of software into a larger deliverable.


    • Review and understand software requirements for enterprise mobile device applications
    • Modify, enhance, and test existing software application as directed
    • Design, develop and test new software applications as directed
    • Execute software tests designed as directed
    • Reviews test results and perform root cause analyses to identify problems
    • Prepare internal and user facing documentation as directed.
    • Participate in software design meetings and provide recommendations
    • Work with other members of the technical teams in all aspect of software development
    • Work with local test team to understand reported issues
    • Follow Zebra product development model and applicable process, procedures and guidelines
    • Insures compliance with Zebra quality process and standards
    • Stay up-to-date on latest tools and technologies relevant to Zebra EMC development team


    • Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering 
    • 8+ years of software development experience.
    • Android UI application development experience
    • Proficient in application debugging on Android device
    • Proficient in Android Framework and APIs
    • Proficient in Android Studio and related development tools such as git
    • Proficient Java programming language and object-oriented design
    • Android Framework, HAL, or Linux Kernel development experience a big plus

    C/C++ experience a plus
