  • Overview

    The Buyer is responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity. This position will review and have responsibility for purchase requisitions across multiple business units; investigating and developing sources of supplies, preparing bid specifications; issuing bid requests and reviewing quotes. Will. Works with management to address all aspects of commodity management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability.


    • Places and maintains all purchase orders for both sustaining and NPI active SKU’s
    • Expedites supply of raw material and finished goods to support customer requirements and business revenue commitments
    • Weekly review meetings with suppliers to review can build and misaligned part numbers
    • Escalate critical part numbers in system
    • TPC part maintenance for part number supplier matching, error reporting and correct sourcing rules.
    • Manage finished good rework process by obtaining quote and review of total costs and execution of rework
    • Resolve all open accounts payable issues to assure supplier payments are on time
    • Provide run rate analysis for each product family on a regular basis
    • Resolve all open issues with suppliers
    • Strong support and partnership with business operations and order management teams around the globe.


    • Preferred Education:
      • Bachelor’s degree 
    • Preferred Work Experience (years):
      • 2-3 years in Supply Chain Environment
    • Key Skills and Competencies:
      • Previous experience with MRP software in a Manufacturing environment is a plus
      • Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building and teamwork
      • Proven analytical and expediting skills
      • Ability to adapt quickly to changes
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
      • Knowledge of Mandarin language is essential
