Overview

Analyzes, implements, and supports e-commerce software programs to meet the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and trades partner profiles, maps transactions, and establishes communication links with trading partners.
  • Tests secure transaction maps and communication links to ensure proper security, identification, and capture of required data.
  • Identifies and documents programming requirements for new transactions.
  • Assists in the development and documentation of policies and procedures for the function.
  • Assists in conducting and managing product evaluations.
  • Provides product installation, configuration, and training.
  • Performs systems maintenance to update records, specifications, and operating procedures of partner systems.
  • Provides timely resolution of problems or escalation on behalf of customer.
  • Helps to ensures that solutions are compatible with existing applications and architecture standards.
  • Receives little instruction on day to day work, general instructions on new assignments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience.
  • Strong understanding and familiarity with all industry standard EDI transaction sets including 210, 850, 855, 860, 865, 810, 856, 864, and among others.
  • Experience integrating / configuring EDI interfaces both inbound and outbound.
  • Experience developing and maintaining EDI maps (Sterling Integrator/GIS Mapping).
  • Experience administering a production EDI system (Sterling Integrator/GIS 4.x)
  • Experience with X12, EDI standards.
  • EDI experience in a UNIX environment.
  • Experience with data communication protocols (FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SFTP, AS2, FTPS).
  • Ability to work with messages and documents in XML format.
  • Working knowledge of RDBMS using database tools including Oracle SQL
  • Provide production operations support emergency response in regular rotation with other team members.
  • Monitor EDI production (Sterling Integrator 5.x) systems and operations and take appropriate actions to resolve system failures.
  • Identify & troubleshoot System / platform issues – with through understanding of the internal components of SI & the associated Database
  • Set up and maintain trading partnerships (setup EDI communications, setup EDI partners in translator, maintain EDI contacts, etc.).
  • Develop and test maps for messages in EDI, XML and proprietary formats.
  • Analyze business requirements for EDI and develop functional specifications for application developers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EDI processing / connectivity issues for internal and external customers.
  • Investigate and reprocess EDI files in case of processing errors.
  • Understand, manage, and assure compliance with regulatory & Compliance procedures, and protocols.
